About OpenOor OpenOor represents music and musicality in all kinds. The person running and developing this company is Peter Ouwerkerk. The Dutch business OpenOor (located in Amsterdam) mainly stands for sounding music: solo recitals, concerts as continuo-organist or as conductor, in as well as outside the Netherlands. Furthermore the company facilitates art performances at high level: Peter Ouwerkerk is manager of the International Haarlem Organ Festival, a world-leading organ event. Every two years in the last two weeks of July an international Summer Academy, Improvisation Competition and a series of concerts take place in and around the Müller-organ in the Haarlem St Bavokerk – the organ at which Handel, Mozart and other great musicians have played. For the use of a nice sounding chest organ –with or without performer– please contact OpenOor. For many years, Peter Ouwerkerk is taking care of the editorial and design of the bimonthly professional magazine Muziek & Liturgie, serving the Royal Association of Organists and Church Musicians (KVOK). Also, on behalf of the Protestant Church of The Netherlands (PKN) he can be asked for advice concerning church music, the education of church musicians, and the General Regulation for the Church Music and Musicians. |
